System requirements to operate Freedom for Bedding

Implementation

Freedom was developed with the specific intention of providing you with a state-of-the-art software solution for your business and manufacturing management needs, without requiring a lot of specialized or expensive hardware.

The actual hardware required depends on the size of your business and the number of people who will be using Freedom at the same time. The Server and Workstations follow the general rule that "faster is better."

Minimum Requirements
 
One Server
The Server must be able to support Microsoft SQL Server 2022 or later.  For hardware requirements, please refer to Microsoft’s SQL Server hardware requirements.
 
Several Workstations (you decide how many you need)
Any computer that runs Windows 10 or 11 (or later as available).  Performance will be improved if the following minimums are met:

• Intel i5 or better CPU

• 8 GBytes RAM

• Solid State drive with at least 25 GBytes free

• Minimum 1366 x 768 pixel screen resolution (1920 x 1080 or greater recommended)

 
Printers
Invoice, Report, Law Label, and Shipping Label Printer(s). Freedom supports the following types of printers. Your specific needs will depend on a number of factors. We will work with you to find the right mix of printers for your business.

• Laser

• Thermal Transfer

 
Network

• A wired internal network is preferred.

• WiFi is supported -- the faster the better.

• A reliable high speed internet connection (for support purposes).

 
Optional
A wide range of barcode scanners are supported for tracking production and managing truck loading.
 
As your business grows you can expand or upgrade your hardware as needed, one Workstation at a time, thereby minimizing your incremental costs. We make every effort to support standard, readily available equipment that you can source locally.
 
We encourage you to find local suppliers and support personnel for your equipment in order to ensure a quick response time.
