It is with great sadness that we share that on Thursday, December 14th, Bill Seres passed away at his home in Osoyoos, British Columbia after a long fought battle with cancer. His kind heart and generous spirit will be greatly missed!

 

Bill received his Chartered Accountant designation (equivalent to CPA in USA) in 1984. He left public practice to go into industry early in his career. During the next five years he worked in three different industries on five different software packages. He also oversaw three computer installations during this time. With the knowledge and experience gained during his years in industry, Bill decided to become a self-employed consultant. Bill’s consulting business revolved around determining the computer software needs of his clients as they related to management and information systems, finding the software that best fit those needs, and then implementing that system in the most efficient manner possible.

Richard received a Certificate in Electronic Technology followed by a Bachelor of Applied Science in Electrical Engineering, specializing in control electronics. He gained experience in several companies, ranging in size from small to multi-national in a variety of industries.  His work included designing scientific, industrial, and military instrumentation, industrial robotics, microelectronic hardware and firmware, and integrated circuit test hardware and software.

 

Richard became self-employed in 1987, providing both electronic hardware and software design services for his clients. His software projects have ranged from designing firmware for real-time embedded equipment to large industrial inventory control and multi-user business systems.
